About Us

Company History

In 1991 Dr David Usher founded InterAction of Bath to provide consultancy in all aspects of ergonomics.  In 1994 the business was incorporated as a limited company.

Initially, InterAction of Bath provided services to Nuclear Electric in the field of human-computer interface design and user training.  Subsequently the company has worked for many UK blue-chip companies, in both the public and private sectors, such as Babcock Nuclear Services, Royal Mail, Honda UK and Devonport Management Ltd.

The projects we have undertaken range from workstation assessments, to power station control-room design, from usability testing to Human Factors Integration in large military contracts.  We continue to expand our portfolio, in recent years developing expertise in safety and reliability.

At present, safety case work constitutes the majority of our portfolio.  Safety case management is in many ways a natural extension of our Human Factors consultancy services: as systems become more complex, the ramifications of human error can become severe. In most safety cases there is some element of Human Factors assessment, particularly in military equipment.
