Display screen regulationsThe Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 were introduced because of the rising number of injuries to computer users. Coming into force in January 1993, with minor amendments in 2003, the Regulations have improved the safety of those whose jobs involve significant use of Display Screen Equipment (DSE). Under the Regulations, managers and employers are held responsible for compliance.
