For many years, InterAction of Bath has provided ergonomics expert witness services to the courts. This type of work typically involves identifying the ergonomic issues behind work-related injuries and assessing the employer’s risk management system. The key issue is usually foreseeability - could the employer reasonably have been expected to be able to foresee the injury?
Our expert witness reports are based on thorough, detailed investigation into whether the workspace or system of work could have contributed to or exacerbated the injury. We assess whether the individual was adequately protected from harm and whether the employer complied with relevant health and safety standards. The format conforms with the Crown Procedure Rules.
We have most experience of acting for the claimant, but we are pleased to work for the defence or in a single joint expert role.
We are members of the Expert Witness Register and the database of experts maintained by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
