Human Factors Assessments

Human Factors (otherwise known as ergonomics, or user-centred design) is defined as “the application of scientific information concerning humans to the design of objects, systems and environment for human use."

InterAction of Bath consultants make realistic recommendations to improve safety and performance, based on techniques such as:

Task analysis: This refers to the methods used to examine the tasks people perform within a sociotechnical system. Our consultants have experience applying these methods in a wide variety of applications from control rooms to television remote controls.

Our hierarchical task analysis tool InterWorkTM provides an efficient method for storing, analysing and utilising the data.

User requirement gathering: At InterAction of Bath, we can find out exactly what the users require. Unless this is done, the product or system will never be truly usable.

Liaison with designers and users: Our consultants have years of experience working with designers and users in a wide variety of industrial sectors.
