Over 150 different methods of predicting the probability of human error have been developed and published in the last 50 years.
Perhaps the best-known and most popular is the Human Error Assessment and Reduction Technique (HEART). Its popularity rests on its breadth of application and its simplicity. The other principal method is the Technique for Human Error Rate Prediction (THERP), which has greater accuracy but is mainly applicable to control room activities.
Interaction of Bath is experienced in applying these techniques (and others) in the analysis of human error.
